WHITE SPOT HOSPITALITY RECEIVES PRESTIGIOUS CANADA'S BEST MANAGED COMPANIES DESIGNATION FOR THE 14TH YEAR

VANCOUVER, B.C. (May 14, 2024) – For the 14th straight year, the iconic BC-based restaurant group, White Spot Hospitality, was awarded with the prestigious Canada’s Best Managed Companies designation, along with its Platinum Club status after having achieved the Best Managed designation for more than nine consecutive years.

For over 30 years, Canada’s Best Managed Companies has remained one of the country’s leading business award programs recognizing Canadian-owned and managed companies for innovative, world-class business practices. Every year, hundreds of entrepreneurial companies compete for this designation in a rigorous and independent process that evaluates the caliber of their management abilities and practices.

White Spot and Triple O’s have remained resilient despite persistent challenges in their industry including escalating costs, supply chain disruptions and labour shortages. Their commitment to growth and innovation is evident through the expansion of Triple O’s with brand new locations in Alberta, Ontario, and BC, with plans to continue to grow in the new few years. Additionally, White Spot is opening a new location in the Fall at Vancouver International Airport, making their legendary return.

“We are incredibly honoured to have been named one of Canada’s Best Managed companies for the 14th year, this recognition is a remarkable milestone in our company’s legacy,” said White Spot and Triple O’s Vice President of People & Training, Denise Buchanan, “This acknowledgement was made possible due to the continued loyalty and support from our team, guests, partners, suppliers, and from our ownership Shato Holdings. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every individual who has contributed to the success of White Spot and Triple O’s.”

Since 1928, White Spot founder, Nat Bailey started the tradition of giving back to children and their families in British Columbia – 96 years later the company continues their unwavering commitment to community engagement. Throughout the year, White Spot’s dedication to philanthropy and upholding one of the Best Managed Companies’ key qualifiers in Corporate Social Responsibility, continued to be a top priority. In the past year, White Spot donated more than $175,000 to a number of charities and organizations, including raising funds for Variety The Children’s Charity, the CKNW Kids Fund, Zajac Ranch and Richmond Hospital Foundation.

“The Best Managed winners’ continued adaptability in an era of uncertainty sets the standard for how to overcome new barriers and demonstrate resiliency at the highest levels,” says Derrick Dempster, national co-leader of Canada’s Best Managed Companies program and partner at Deloitte Private.“ By leveraging industry leading competencies to maximize their investments and drive sustainable growth, these companies truly impact how Canada is viewed on the world stage when it comes to the success of private business.”

White Spot Hospitality continues to set the standard for excellence in the hospitality industry, their commitment to exceptional service, community involvement, and innovative practices solidifies their position as an example of Canadian entrepreneurship and resilience.
